The suspect died after he crashed the alleged stolen vehicle around 2am on Greenbriar near La Concha.
Police said officers received a tracking signal from the stolen truck. According to officials, they then spotted the suspect and tried to pull him over, but he took off.
The suspect was reportedly speeding when he tried to make a U-turn in the 8100 block of Greenbriar. That's when the truck hit a median for the light rail and flipped several times.
The driver was ejected and the vehicle landed on top him, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
