Woman leads police on 60-mile chase

HOUSTON

It was shortly after 1am Tuesday that Webster police say they noticed a drug deal at a convenience store on NASA Parkway. A second officer tried to stop the suspect's vehicle in the 20600 block of the Gulf Freeway, but the driver, now identified as Jennifer Renee Johnson, 34, of Port Arthur, took off.

During the pursuit, police say they saw Johnson throw items out of her vehicle.

Houston police took over the chase just south of Baytown, with the pursuit later ending in Chambers County. Police say when they ran the vehicle's plates, they learned Johnson had a 'no bond' robbery warrant issued by the Harris County Sheriff's Office.

She was arrested for felony evading and the outstanding Harris County warrant.
