Police say a woman on her way to work Monday morning noticed a man slumped over a steering wheel in a red Toyota Corolla parked in the driveway of her townhome complex in the1800 block of Hollister near Longpoint. As she drove by, she saw a male slumped over the driver's seat of the vehicle. The female exited her vehicle to help the male, found him unresponsive and then called 9-1-1.
HFD paramedics responded to the scene and determined the male was deceased from a gunshot wound. Tenants of the complex reported hearing a single gunshot between 4am and 5am.
The victim was not a resident of the complex.
The man, in his early to mid twenties, had no identification. His identity is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.
