A pair of former administrators with Houston Independent School District appeared in court on Wednesday.

Peggy Collins and Dolores Westmoreland are accused of altering the dropout rates at Kashmere High School and its feeder campus, Key Middle School. Investigators say they changed the records to show some students had transferred out of state when they had actually dropped out of school.

Today they were ordered to provide handwriting samples to the FBI.

If convicted, they both face 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.
