Eric Deshayn Tennell, 33, is charged with the murder of his mother, Marsha Tennell. Police say HPD patrol officers and HFD paramedics were called to Marsha's residence Sunday morning in the 3000 block of Francis in the Third Ward.. When officers arrived, they say they met with suspect Tennell, who was covered in blood. Officers then found Marsha deceased inside her bedroom. The 56-year-old suffered blunt force trauma.
Eric Tennell was then taken into custody at the scene and police say he later admitted to his involvement in his mother's death.
Tennell is jailed with a $50,000 bond.
