The accident happened around 6am Saturday in the 20800 block of Morris Avenue in Manvel.
According to the Manvel Police Department, a Toyota Scion was westbound on Morris when it was struck by an unknown pickup truck.
The driver of the pickup fled the scene.
The driver of the Toyota Scion suffered severe injuries and was airlifted to Memorial Hermann Hospital.
Police are trying to track down the pickup and its driver.
Alcohol was determined not to be a factor in the accident, police said.
