Man, girlfriend arrested on drug charges after raid on his Santa Fe apartment

SANTA FE, TX

On the night of February 22, Santa Fe police say they executed a narcotics search warrant at an apartment in the 12000 block of 18th Street. The occupant of the apartment was taken into custody on narcotics and weapons charges. During the raid, detectives say they confiscated two 1/2 pounds of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, prescription pill bottles, $4,000 cash, and a 9mm firearm.

Andrew Rodriguez was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana in a Drug Free Zone and possession of a firearm by a felon. Rodriguez, 42, is being held on bonds totaling $130,000.

Prior to the search warrant, detectives say surveillance of the apartment resulted in the arrest of Sadie Baze, who resides in the same apartment complex. Baze is the girlfriend of Rodriguez and investigator say Baze frequently made sales and deliveries for Rodriguez. During a traffic stop while driving Rodriguez's vehicle, Baze was found to be in possession of marijuana.

Baze, 26, was charged and is being held on a bond of $1,000.

The search warrant and narcotics raid was the result of a month long investigation into the possession and sale of prescription medications, marijuana, and other illicit drugs in the city of Santa Fe.
