The 911 call came in just before 5am. Harris County sheriff's deputies are still trying to sort out the details surrounding the shooting.
A man was walking along Highway 90 near the East Beltway when, according to that witness, a black Ford Explorer pulled up next to him and the driver told him he had been shot in the back and to call 911.
That's when authorities arrived on the scene and found the wounded victim inside the SUV and the caller standing by at the scene. The victim was taken to the hospital with reportedly non-life threatening injuries.
The caller was taken in for questioning. There are still a lot of questions surrounding this shooting.
Several deputies are at the hospital questioning the shooting victim.
