Deputy U.S. Marshals took 63-year-old Robert Franz into custody Tuesday afternoon in Buckeye.
They say Franz was wanted by the Pampa Police Department in Texas for aggravated sexual assault of a child.
A warrant was issued by the Gray County Sheriff's Office in Pampa for Frantz's arrest after he allegedly sexually assaulted a child under the age of 5 last October.
Pampa police learned Frantz had recently been in the Yuma area in southwest Arizona and he was eventually tracked to Buckeye and arrested as he exited a truck stop.
It was unclear Tuesday night whether Frantz has legal representation yet and when he might be extradited to Texas.
