It started around midnight when officers say the woman refused to stop on the South Loop at Stella Link. Officers say she sped through red lights and almost hit several cars before she crossed Highway 288. She finally stopped at her house on Dryden near Greenbriar in the Rice University area.
Police arrested the woman at her home, but her relatives claimed she had a mental disorder.
The woman was taken to the hospital for a psychiatric evaluation.
