The Austin American-Statesman reported Wednesday that Dr. Alejandro Munoz was fired last week from Terrell State Hospital, where he'd worked since 2006.
Superintendent Joe Finch says Munoz failed to abide by the agreement. Finch's letter says Munoz was fired, for undisclosed reasons, in 1998 from Rolling Plains State Operated Community Services in Graham. Munoz later sued, leading to the settlement.
Munoz doesn't have a listed phone number and couldn't immediately be reached for comment.
The Department of State Health Services checked employment records for Munoz after he was mentioned in a newspaper story on state hospital psychiatrists and alleged sexual improprieties with patients.
