Man accused in plane biting charged with assault

SEATTLE, WA

Seattlepi.com reports that 38-year-old Jack A. Parlin of Anchorage was charged Wednesday and held on $50,000 bail.

King County prosecutors say in charging documents that Parlin acknowledged biting someone Monday near the parked plane's exit door. The man reportedly told police he was anxious to get off the Alaska Airlines plane after it landed in Seattle from Anchorage. Port police found the first flight officer's arm bleeding from a large, deep bite.

Arraignment was scheduled for Sept. 19. It was not immediately known whether Parlin had a lawyer.
