Austin police on Friday announced the arrests in an investigation related to the sale of iPhones and iPads that were advertised online. Police say fake cash was being used to buy the electronic items from victims in the Austin area.
Police say 23-year-old Carlos Escobar and 22-year-old Anthony Gardner were arrested Wednesday.
Further details on the men, including whether they have attorneys, were not immediately provided. Austin police did not immediately return messages Friday from The Associated Press.
