WASHINGTON --The 84th Annual Scripps National Spelling Bee has started and there's a young boy from Sugar Land who's hoping to win it all. Sivateja Tangirala, 12, is speller number 238. He's a student at Fort Settlement Middle School in Sugar Land. He's among the 275 spellers who today are taking the written 25-word round one test. The preliminary rounds continue tomorrow with the spellers taking the stage. Then it's the semifinals on Thursday. No more than 50 spellers will qualify. And then the finals are Thursday night.
