Police say a man was shot eight times after two men carjacked him in southwest Houston overnight. Police say a woman found the victim around 12:30am at an apartment complex on Dunlap near Greencraig. The victim, believed to be a taxi driver, told bystanders who were helping him that he had picked up four males at the bus station at 2121 Main Street. At some point, the victim said he was shot and robbed and his van was stolen by the four males.

The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital in critical condition.

The suspects are described only as four black males. Police say one of them, who drove away from the scene, was thin, in his mid 20s, with a meduim complexion. He was last seen in a white minivan, believed to be a taxi, with red letters and numbers, and tinted back windows.

There are no known witnesses at this time. Anyone with information in this case or on the identites of the wanted suspects is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
