METRO train involved in downtown wreck

HOUSTON According to Margaret O'Brien Molina with METRO, at about 9am, a private vehicle traveling on San Jacinto made a right turn in front of a light rail and the vehicle collided with the light rail.

Several people were on board the METROrail. Some may have suffered injuries, and were taken to area hospitals to be checked out. None of the injuries appear to be severe.

Both the train and the truck that struck it sustained minor damage.
