As Katy ISD battles with closing a budget gap, it is asking the community for its input on what should get cut and what shouldn't.

In an online survey, it's asking which of the following should be considered for cuts: teacher salaries, classroom expenditures, libraries and curriculum and instruction resources.

The school district is one of many having issues trying to slash its budget because of major deficits in the state budget.
