Police say the truck's driver was cooperative, and was not impaired at the time. He is not expected to face charges.
Toddler struck, killed after running into N. Harris Co. street

It happened near Aldine Mail Route and Airline around 11:30pm.
Gianni Zavala's aunt was walking him home when he pulled away from her.
Zavala then ran out in front of a truck. The driver was not able to stop and the boy was hit, sustaining multiple injuries. He later died at the hospital.
