Father arrested after toddler found wandering streets

HOUSTON

Chief Durman of the Pct 5 Constables Office said at around 10:35am Friday they received a call about a child found in the 4100 block of Sun Meadow. Deputies arrived and located a 2-year-old girl out alone. A neighbor was able to help them determine which house and the parent was located.

Initial reports said the man fell asleep and the child got out. The father was arrested and the District Attorney's Office accepted charges of child endangerment.

The child was taken to Child Protective Services where they will determine custody.
