Woman charged after man's body found in her kitchen

HOUSTON

Jamie Anne Skelton is accused in the fatal stabbing of 28-year-old Christopher Bracey. According to court documents, on or about Wednesday, February 16, Skelton stabbed Bracey to death with a knife and kept his body in the kitchen of her apartment in the 2100 block of Ella Blvd.

Authorities say the following night, Skelton called a friend and told that friend about a dead body inside her apartment. The friend then called 911.

When police arrived at the apartment, they found a man's body lying on the suspect's kitchen floor with a stab wound. Police say Skelton admitted to having a knife for protection. She was taken into custody.

Skelton, 40, is being held without bond and will remain in jail. Her next court date is March 21.

She has two prior convictions for possession of a controlled substance in 1990 and 1991.
