Passenger killed in wreck with red light runner
HOUSTON
Police say the driver of a brown Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling southbound in the 6400 block of Crestmont shortly after 3pm Wednesday when she ran a red light at the 610 South Loop service road. The pickup struck a white Toyota 4Runner, causing a passenger to be ejected from the Toyota. She was not wearing a seatbelt.
The female victim, Mary Kaye Arvie, 56, was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police say the investigation is continuing.
