Man gets life sentence for impregnating his stepdaughter

HOUSTON

A judge has sentenced a Brazoria County man to life in prison without parole for impregnating his 11-year-old stepdaughter. We're not identifying the suspect to respect the victim's privacy.

School officials at Alvin ISD first noticed the young girl showing signs of pregnancy. She gave birth in December of 2009. DNA testing then confirmed the stepfather had impregnated the young girl.
