Investigators need help to solve 1989 murder case

HOUSTON On August 3, 1989, Pamela Sims, 32, was working as a clerk at the Tip-Top Cleaners at 547 Greens Parkway. At around 5pm, a customer walked in and found her fatally shot.

Earlier in the day, two suspicious males were seen inside the business. One was described as an African-American male, approximately 25 years, standing around 5-foot-10 and weighing around 170 pounds. The second suspect is described as an African-American male, between 18 and 20 years old, standing 5-foot-11, and weighing around 190 pounds. One of the suspects may have a lazy eye.

Composite sketches of the suspects are above. This is one of several cold cases the Harris County Sheriff's Office is featuring weekly in hopes of gathering new information that may help solve them. For many of these cases, there's very little information, so investigators are relying solely on the public's tips.

Anyone with information about the killers in this case is asked to please contact Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (713-222-8477) or the Harris County Sheriff's Office's Cold Case Unit at 713-967-5911.
