Detectives are trying to identify two armed men who threatened to kill employees of a city of South Houston dollar store if they weren't handed money from the store's cash register and safe.

The incident happened around 8:45pm on January 19 at a dollar store in the 1300 block of College in South Houston, according to a Crime Stoppers statement. The suspects approached an employee of the store and demanded cash from the register and store safe or they'd kill her.

The employee opened the register and gave the suspects cash and told them only the manager had the key to the store safe. When a male employee walked out of the inventory room, one of the suspects approached him and put his gun to the man's head, demanding he open the store's safe.

The suspect then hit the employee in the face and head because the man was taking too long to open the safe. The suspects finally took an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene.

The suspects are described as two black males wearing all black clothing and black ski masks. One of the suspects had gold teeth. The suspects were armed with guns.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
