Dallas Crime Stoppers chief arrested

DALLAS, TX Dallas police Sr. Cpl. Theodora Ross has been the program head since 2003 after serving seven years with the Dallas Police Department internal affairs division as an investigator.

She was led in handcuffs from her office at Dallas police headquarters and placed in a car bearing an FBI placard and driven away Wednesday afternoon. No charges have been filed.

The Dallas Morning News reports questions about the program first arose in April when a man entitled to a Crime Stoppers reward went to a bank to claim his money and was told someone else had already collected it.
