Little girl in hospital after being struck by car

HOUSTON It happened Wednesday afternoon at Greenchase and Greens Rd. SkyEye HD was over the scene and you could see the dent in the hood of the silver car. We're told an 8-year-old girl was going to a nearby park with her family when she ran ahead of them into the street and was hit by the car.

She was transported to Memorial Hermann Children's Hospital in critical condition, but we're told she is expected to live.

The driver did stay at the scene and police were interviewing her. She is not expected to face any charges.
