Bond set for author of pedophile 'how to' book

BARTOW, FL Phillip Greaves of Pueblo, Colo., is charged with violating Florida's obscenity law, a third-degree felony. Polk County Judge John Kirkland on Wednesday set bail at $15,000.

The 47-year-old was arrested Monday in Colorado. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd claims jurisdiction because Greaves sold and mailed a copy of his book to undercover deputies who had written him requesting a copy.

Florida's obscenity law prohibits the distribution of obscene material depicting minors engaged in conduct harmful to minors.

Greaves is being held at the Polk County Jail. He told local media on Tuesday that he only has sex with grown-ups and the book falls under his right to free speech.
