Search for missing New Orleans man driving to Houston

Thomas B. Hartwell, 25, was last seen in New Orleans heading to Houston for a Rockets game on Dec. 6.

Authorities are searching for a missing New Orleans man with a heart condition who was driving to Houston for a Rockets game. Thomas B. Hartwell was last seen in New Orleans heading to Houston for a Rockets game on Dec. 6. He did not meet up with his friends at the game and he has not been heard from since leaving his home that morning.

Hartwell has a serious heart condition and is driving a 1999 two-door green Jeep Cherokee with Louisiana license plate BB05521 that reads "Save Black Bear." Authorities say there has been no contact and no credit/debit card activity since he went missing.

Hartwell, 25, is described as a white male, 6 feet 3 inches tall, approximately 170 pounds, with short brown hair, blue eyes and a long white scar down middle of chest as a result of open-heart surgery.
