Couple gets rude awakening after car hits apartment

HOUSTON It happened on Shady Villa near Caywood in northwest Houston. Police say the driver lives at the apartment complex and lost control trying to park. He smashed into a brick wall and into the bedroom of his next door neighbors. A woman was lying in bed at the time and her husband says she was hurt by shattered glass.

"There was a car that came through the window and she got glass and stuff in her face and her eyes and head," said the victim's husband, RI Lusk.

The couple was forced to spend the night with a car stuck in their bedroom since police thought removing it could cause extra damage.

Authorities didn't arrest the driver and told the couple they 'could not put him behind the wheel.'
