A botched drug deal appears to be the motive behind a deadly shooting in southwest Houston. Police found the victim last night at his home on Winter Briar near Briar Seasons. Investigators say the 24-year-old man and his brother had driven a few blocks away to buy drugs.

Authorities say the dealer allegedly shot both brothers, who drove back to their home to call for help. One brother died in the car. An eyewitness helped police make several arrests.

"We believe we have all of the players in custody for being interviewed downtown," said Sgt. Thomas Biggs with the Houston Police Department.

The second brother was shot in the foot. He was treated and released from the hospital.
