Authorities seek man wanted for domestic violence charge

HOUSTON On July 16, Anthony Charles Calandra and his ex-girlfriend got into an argument. Calandra grabbed the victim by the throat with both hands and squeezed causing the victim to choke. He also punched the victim in the face causing her severe pain. The victim tried calling the police, but Calandra knocked the phone out of her hand.

The argument continued and eventually the victim was finally able to call the police. Calandra ran from the location once he knew the police were on their way.

An investigation was launched and Calandra was charged with assault of a family member by choking and a warrant was issued for his arrest. He has a prior conviction for domestic violence.

Calandra, 36, is a white male. He is 6 feet tall and weighs around 180 pounds. He has brown eyes, brown hair and a scar around his left eye. He also has a tattoo on the left side of his neck.
