Officer fires shots at dog during arrest

HOUSTON It happened in the 12800 block of Zavalla in southwest Houston Friday morning. According to police, an officer had spotted a car matching that of a vehicle involved in a burglary in Missouri City.

When he attempted to pull the car over, police say the passenger got out and ordered a pit bull to attack the officer. The officer fired two shots at the dog but missed.

The two suspects, however, were arrested. A third suspect managed to get away.

It's believed one of the suspects once lived at the home where the dog attacked.
