Sheriff's deputies have not found the men responsible for a deadly shooting in northeast Harris County last night. Deputies think the shooters may have been looking to steal a large stash of drugs. It happened on Wallisville near Normandy. Investigators say at least two men in a vehicle were following two other people in a silver car. The men then rammed the car off the road, hitting at least three other cars in the process.

The men began shooting at the driver of the silver car, killing him. Detectives say the driver may have been targeted because he was carrying drugs.

"Witnesses indicate that it appears to them that the vehicle -- the silver vehicle -- was intentionally rammed," said Sgt. Larry Davis with the Harris Couny Sheriff's Office. "It's over a large quantity of dope, namely marijuana."

The condition of the dead man's passenger is not known. At least two people left the scene.
