HOUSTON --A major MMA event is coming to Houston for the first time in three years. Strikeforce will present a World Championship doubleheader from the Toyota Center on Saturday, Aug. 21, when Strikeforce World Light Heavyweight (205 pounds) Champion "King Mo" Lawal makes the first defense of his belt against devastating striker Rafael "Feijao'' Cavalcante in the main event on the live Showtime telecast (9pm CT). The co-main event will feature Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza and Tim Kennedy in a battle for the vacant Strikeforce Middleweight (185 pounds) Title. In a featured, televised bout, undefeated heavyweight rising star Bobby Lashley will return to the cage against an opponent to be announced. Also on the televised portion of the card, former world champ KJ Noons will face Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu blackbelt Jorge Gurgel in a lightweight (155 pounds) featured bout.
