A woman was fatally stabbed after an argument with her husband involving knives at their home in southwest Harris County. Police say a married couple, Tasleemah Harvey and Zachariah Harvey, was separated but still living together in the 12400 block of Bexley with their children. The couple began to argue around 2pm Tuesday about a past due electric bill and Zachariah Harvey, believing that Tasleemah Harvey would become violent, went to his bedroom and locked his door.

Tasleemah Harvey kicked in the door and began to physically assault her husband. He left his bedroom and went to the kitchen to hide several knives, so that she could not assault him with the knives. She then grabbed a knife and attempted to stab him. Zachariah Harvey, holding several knives, then stabbed her one time in the chest.

Tasleemah Harvey fell to the floor and, after calling 911, Zachariah Harvey began to perform CPR. Tasleemah Harvey, 37, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Charges are pending further investigation and autopsy results.
