AUSTIN, TX --If the candidates for Texas governor just don't impress you all that much, now you have another option - a dog. Woodrow the dog has just entered the Texas governor's race, and the five-year-old hound mix has already picked up a high-profile endorsement. Kinky Friedman, the man who ran for governor twice and lost, says he will support Woodrow. "Woodrow is not an incumbent, and he hasn't even been indicted yet, and I don't think I'm going to regret this endorsement one bit," said Friedman. The canine candidacy is part of a fundraising project for an animal rescue group. Austin Pets Alive! helps finds homes for homeless pets.
