Want a reminder of the danger of power lines?

HOUSTON Centerpoint Energy used a hot dog to demonstrate what can happen to your finger if you come in contact with an active power line. The average hot dog apparently contains the same amount of water as the human finger.

This morning's demonstration was held in advance of a hurricane preparedness workshop this weekend.

That hurricane workshop in this Saturday at 10am at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Experts from the National Weather Service will also be on hand.
