Carjacking suspects still on the run

HOUSTON

The man and woman were confronted just before midnight on Dec. 22 as they sat in their car outside a washateria on the corner of East Crosstimbers and Schuller, according to a Crime Stoppers statement.

A dark blue car with three men inside had pulled up in the parking lot and two of the men got out. One of the suspects went insidet he washateria as the other waited outside and the third remained behind the wheel.

When the suspects returned to their car, the vehicle wouldn't start, so they approached the couple and asked for jumper cables and a jump, according to the statement. After the couple helped them restart the car, the men followed them back to their vehicle.

One of the suspects pulled a gun and forced the man into the front passenger seat of his car, while the other man whipped out a knife and forced the woman into the back seat of the car. The suspect armed with the gun then drove off, and the blue car followed.

The susepcts then stopped at Crosstimbers and the Eastex Freeway and ordered to the couple to take their shoes off and get out of the car. The suspects took the couple's car and drove off.

All three suspects were described as black males, according to the statement.

The man armed with a knife appeared to be about 19 years old, between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall and weighed between 160 and 170 pounds.

The suspect with the gun appeared to be between 25 and 30 years old, about 6 feet tall and weighs around 200 to 210 pounds.

The victims never got a good look at the suspect who was driving the dark blue four door car. That car is possibly a 1990 to 1995 Crown Victoria.
