Local church members find use for old jeans

HOUSTON Volunteers at Living Word Lutheran Church are taking old, donated pairs of jeans and sewing them into book bags and then with about $1,000 in donated money, the church plans to buy school supplies and stuff the bags with school supplies and send to Haiti, Peru, Africa, and other places where children are in need.
