Woman, two kids killed in Ft. Worth crash

A woman and two children are dead and three other children are hospitalized after their car slammed into a concrete pillar in southern Fort Worth. The crash happened about 1:30 a.m. Sunday on a northbound service road of Interstate 35W at the Interstate 20 interchange. A police statement say the car jumped a curb, cut across grass, slammed into the concrete sign standard and burst into flames.

The police statement says only one of the three children trapped with the woman was rescued. The remaining two and the woman were dead at the scene.

The freed child was airlifted to Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. No condition has been released. Two children, ages 9 and 11, were taken to Cook Children's Medical Center in Fort Worth in stable condition.

No identities nor relationships have been released.
