A reproduction of the state seal of Texas that has graced a Harlingen highway interchange for a decade has been stolen. Harlingen police Capt. Hector Leal says the emblem is big enough that it probably took more than one person to pry the seal off a retaining wall.

Police on Monday afternoon dusted for fingerprints.

The emblem, weighing as much as 75 pounds, is worth an estimated $3,000 to the Texas Department of Transportation.
