Dr. Murray is charged with involuntary manslaughter, accused of giving Jackson a lethal dose of propofol and other sedatives in order to help him sleep. The board ruled that Dr. Murray can no longer use, administer, or prescribe propofol or other heavy sedatives to a patient.
However he will be able to prescribe other drugs and continue working as a doctor in Texas. Murray has a practice here in Houston.
