Teens busted in videotaped vandalism

BROWNSVILLE, TX Police say all six teens faced arraignment Friday in the crimes adding up to about $12,000 worth of damage. Police say more than 30 vehicles were discovered damaged early Thursday before the teens were caught.

Sgt. Jimmy Manrrique says the suspects, who are 17 and 18, are charged with felony criminal mischief and engaging in organized criminal activity.

Officers began looking for the suspects after receiving reports of vandalized vehicles. Manrrique says a resident's surveillance video helped identify a car being driven by the teens.

The Brownsville Herald reports the video shows a car pulling up to a house, where two youths smashed the rear window of a sports car before fleeing in their getaway vehicle.
