Airport travelers given report cards by Houston police

Houston police have a message for airport travelers who may be headed out of town for spring break. Don't forget to lock your vehicles and hide your valuables. Thursday morning, officers from HPD's airport division are passing out theft reduction report cards. It's similar to another program, which took place in northwest Houston over the summer. Drivers were given a pass or fail grade, depending on whether they left vehicle doors unlocked, windows opened or cracked, and if valuables were in plain view.

Police urge drivers to remove any temptation for thieves.
