Elderly nun who loved Astros dies

HOUSTON Her published and online obituary said Sister Kuhn died Monday. The Roman Catholic nun was 89.

A message left Friday with her order, the Congregation of the Incarnate Word & Blessed Sacrament, regarding a cause of death was not immediately returned to The Associated Press. A funeral mass was scheduled Tuesday in Houston.

Astros owner Drayton McLane told the Houston Chronicle that Sister Kuhn was the team's "No. 1 fan and she always took it personal."

McLane, acknowledging the Houston-born nun's vow of poverty, gave her season tickets that allowed her to sit behind home plate.
