School that burned Friday will reopen Monday

HOUSTON A fire started in the cafeteria at the High School for Business and Economic Success in southwest Houston Friday afternoon. On Saturday, HISD school board member Larry Marshall and the executive director of the school looked over the damage.

"The greatest need is to get the facility restored," said Marshall. "I will be taking initiatives with HISD to see if we can't help with some kind of temporary accommodations, such as temporary buildings."

Students had already left for the weekend when the fire started. Two classes will have to be moved. The investigation into what started the fire is ongoing.
