Police chiefs to meet to discuss crime

The police chiefs of Stafford, Missouri City and Sugar Land plan to meet this week to talk about how to tackle an increase in crime. Last week, police say members of as many as three different gangs fought inside a Fuddruckers restaurant in Stafford. Then on Christmas Day, not far from that restaurant brawl, a young man was abducted and forced into the trunk of his car at gunpoint. Police eventually arrested the alleged attacker and his accomplice.

Officers say patrols in high traffic areas have been increased.
