Deadline for paying property taxes near

HOUSTON You've got one more day to pay your property taxes to get that deduction when you file in April. Friday December 31 is the last day to pay up.

You don't have to pay the full amount due. The Office of the Tax Assessor/Collector says it accepts partial payments.

The tax office also says the vast majority of the tax bills have been mailed and are posted online at www.hctax.net.
