An anonymous tip led investigators in Ft. Bend County to two men suspected in the beating and robbery of a man leaving a fast food restaurant earlier this month. Back on November 5, investigators say a man was leaving the Jack In The Box on the Grand Parkway in Katy when two men approached him, demanding money. One of the men reportedly pushed the victim into nearby bushes and began beating him before ripping his pocked off and taking his wallet. Meanwhile, say police, a second suspect was acting as a lookout.

As a result of the tip that came in, Ft. Bend County detectives were able to find and arrest Mishawn Montrey Nelson, 25, and John Lance Courtney, 20, in the 23,400 block of West Fernhurst in Katy this morning at around 8am.

Both Nelson and Courtney are in custody and charged with robbery.
