'Be an Angel' helping needy children in Houston

HOUSTON The program gives the children the opportunity to make a wish list and experience the joy of receiving presents during the holiday season. Several employees from Chili's Grill volunteered their services to shop for each child's individual wish list at a Target in southwest Houston.

"This is a 23-year long tradition with 'Be an Angel,' serving the multiply impaired and profoundly deaf children that are low income and we provide Christmas gifts, $50 per child to over 4,000 children this year," said Be an Angel Executive Director Marty Boone.

Shopping will continue each day through this Friday. Then the volunteers from Be an Angel will begin delivering gifts to those kids in Houston and surrounding areas from December 7 to December 11.
